Move Manager

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Because we are in the people business, everything we do is driven by customer service. The Move Manager is the single point of coordination for relocating employee’s household goods move. The Move Manager plans all aspects of the moving service from scheduling dates to tracking the shipment in transit and ensuring the goods are delivered on time as scheduled worldwide while remaining in communication with the relocating employee, so they are well informed. The Move Manager is organized, a great communicator and able to multi-task with ease in a fast-paced dynamic organization.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for managing the moving service benefit and planning from end to end
  • Effectively communicates with the relocating employee, service partners as well as internal personnel
  • Coordinates moving dates at origin and destination, following the shipment during transit and informing the relocating employee of key milestones
  • Manages moving benefit in accordance with client policy and financial budgets when applicable
    Coordinate & prepare cost estimates/projections as requested
  • Communicates with the Relocation Consultant and Account Managers when additional approvals are necessary outside of client policy
  • Communicates specific requirements to Drivers
  • Assists relocating employees with the claims process as needed
  • Updates Move Management System with pertinent information to ensure for reporting purposes and overall management of the move
  • Ensure data integrity and security with all documentation and system input and outputs
  • Identify & escalate any service issues to manager
  • Provide after-hours contact number to be accessible to service needs of clients & transferees
  • Regular attendance at work is required as an essential job function
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • High school diploma (advanced education a plus)

Experience:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in logistics business a plus
  • Excellent customer service and client relations skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good collaboration and teamwork abilities
  • Effective communication & follow up, both verbal and written (multi-lingual a plus) and interpersonal communication
  • Familiarity with various software tools including Microsoft Office

Benefits:
  • Salary ranges from $60,000 - $68,000 per year
  • A full suite of competitive benefit offerings are available effective first of the month following hire date
